What to say about this pizza?
It's nothing fancy. Not hipster. There's no gourmet recipe involved. No fruit, no delicate leaves, no fancy French cheese.
It's just a simple, old-fashioned, traditional American pizza. Or, as we like to call it, TradPie.
This is the type of pizza that they were eating when they built the Golden Gate bridge. This is likely the first thing that the doughboys ate when they returned from the Great War. A recipe like this is the one thing that would have united both the hippies and the squares in 1968. It's pure Americana.
And why? Because it's hearty and nutritious and delicious, that's why. Incredibly delicious.
